The State Open Water Swimming Championships were held on November 26th at Champion Lakes Regatta Centre and four Swan Hills swimmers competed. Jessica Antill, Taylor Campbell, Beth Fuller and Will Scott all swam PBs in the 5km event and enjoyed their hard fought races. Open water, although long, can be very rewarding due to the sense of satisfaction from completing difficult endurance events. Jessica Antill and Taylor Campbell both qualified for the Age Open Water Nationals to be held in Perth (at Champion Lakes) next February. The Age Open Water Nationals are to be run in conjunction with the Olympic Selection Trials for Open Water.
