The Metropolitan Championships provdided Swan Hills with some valuable racing experience one month out from the 2011-2012 Long Course State Championships. Thirteen swimmers entered the meet, with all swimmers swimming at least 1 PB and the overall PB rate at a staggering 79%. Belinda Spurr (50 fly) and Holly Barratt (50 fly, back and free) both qualified for the Olympic Trials to be held in Adelaide in March. Jessica Antill (100 fs) also qualified for the National Age Championships next April in Brisbane.
Five of our age/open swimmers will be competing at the State Championships, Holly Barratt, Belinda Spurr, Georgia Marshall, Jessica Antill and Taylor Campbell. We wish the girls the best of luck and hope they continue to swim PBs and qualify for more national level events.
