A few suggestions on how to be a better swimming parent

Over the past few weeks parents have been asking ‘how swimming works?’ How do you know what’s best for your swimmer, when do they need to race fast, are they doing well, etc…? Luckily there are a few great resources out there for swimming parents.

The first thing I’d suggest you do is read the attached article ‘A few suggestions on how to be a better swimming parent,’ by Michael C. Brooks, all info is explained in the article itself.

The second is to purchase ‘Swimming for Parents,’ by Gary Barclay. I own a copy of this book usually kept in the club room, which is currently on loan, but having your own copy is definitely worthwhile! It can be purchased online pretty easily just make sure you look for a good price!
