Euro Underwater Camera Funding

Swan Hills Swimming Club has been the recipient of an equipment grant from Euro Exploration Services. The funding was allocated to an underwater camera for analysis of swimmers’ technique in the higher squads. Underwater cameras are pivotal in altering technique and in guiding swimmers to become more efficient in the water. Without this piece of equipment, altering technique is considerably more difficult as the coach cannot see under the water during sessions and the swimmers often have little knowledge of their underwater technique and prototypical ‘correct’ swimming may look like.

Thanks to Euro the swimmers are able to look at what they’re doing under the water during the session and/or at the end of the session. The video analysis has enabled the swimmers to think more critically about their own swimming style and within the first two weeks of use has already been the driving force technique change.
